Who Created the Greatest Place on Earth Brand ?

The Greatest Place on Earth brand was born for a local church camp in the 1990s by one of our community mothers. Our cornerstone logo was resurrected in 2015 by a couple of our communities’ entrepreneurs ( Lacey Steffes from Spa Serenity and Gretchen Pointon frm Absolute Imprints). At first, we just wanted to sell a few T-shirts with this great Baraboo pride logo and then to our pleasant surprise The Greatest Place on Earth brand was born.

Locals loved the shirts and wanted more products that they could wear and use to show their community pride. Soon we began to see a social media movement. When people were headed out on vacation or just on a Saturday they grabbed their The Greatest Place on Earth shirts, hats and water bottles to take with them and they were hitting the social media waves to spread the community pride. Baraboo, The Greatest Place on Earth- we say it loud and proud here.

In 2015 Gretchen Pointon contacted me with the logo and asked me if I thought we could sell some shirts with this logo? I said there is only one way to find out. We started with t-shirts first and quickly expanded to other merchandise to locals and visitors. We first sold the items at Spa Serenity ( which still acts as our flag ship store) and then expanded to other local retailers and in the fall f 2018 we purchased our local vending truck. We have also just added online sales!

The Greatest Place on Earth Brand’s has turned in to a social movement. Your Greatest Place on Earth may be Baraboo or any other place in the world. We began selling the Red, Blue and Grey t-shirts and then added long Sleeve Shirts, and Hoodies in 2015. Soon we added Mugs, Stickers, Magnets, Glassware, kids clothes, Water Bottles! We have something for every GPOE Lover on the list.
