Greatest Place on Earth on tour at Ski Hi Fruit Farm

GPOE on tour at Ski Hi Fruit Farm. Fall is in the air and that means apples. Ski Hi orchard is family owned and began in 1907 by Arthur Komp Bassett (known to friends as A.K), with A.K.’s passion and persistence he overcame harvesting obstacles and got the orchard up and running.  Baraboo locals and tourist alike love coming out to this beautiful orchard and getting our apple treats. Ski Hi makes pies, donuts, turnovers, fritters, carmel apples and cider all on site.

Apple Orchard Near By

The orchard is located in Wisconsin’s scenic Baraboo bluffs which makes for a  picturesque view. An original cabin from 1862 still stands on the 50 acres along with approximately 8,000 trees. You can walk the grounds, take photos and look into the cabin to see the original furnishings.  Over the years Ski Hi has grown and added fun attractions for guests, one very popular attraction is Haven petting farm. You can feed (pellets available for purchase) Charlie the llama, geese, ducks, goats, pigs and many others. Run the grounds and take a photo on a tractor to capture your farm moments at the orchard.

About the Apple Orchard

Of course they have apples for sale but you can also pick up cheese curds, cheese spread, Mrs. Miller’s noodles, cow pies from Baraboo Candy, salsa, jams, bucky badger carmel corn, Lambs and Thyme veggie dip and so much more. Did you know that you can also have your dream wedding in the orchard? What a beautiful setting among the old apple orchard with a backdrop of Baraboo’s stunning bluffs for a handsome groom and gorgeous bride.
